ScoreBook does not collect any personal information. Specifically, the app does not collect:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any contact information
- Location data (GPS or otherwise)
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Photos, videos, or audio recordings
- Browsing history or search queries
- Biometric data
- Any personally identifiable information (PII)
Data That Stays on Your Device
All data you enter into ScoreBook is stored exclusively on your device using a local database (SQLite). This includes:
- Tournament names and settings
- Player names (entered locally and never transmitted)
- Match scores and standings
This data never leaves your device. No server requests are made. No data is uploaded to any cloud service, analytics platform, or third party.
How We Use Local Data
The data stored locally on your device is used solely to:
- Display tournament information and standings within the app
- Generate and share standings images (via your device's native share sheet — you control where it goes)
- Autocomplete player names you've used before (a convenience feature — names never leave your device)
Sharing Features
ScoreBook includes a "Share Standings" feature that lets you export an image of the leaderboard. When you use this feature:
- The image is generated entirely on your device.
- Sharing uses your device's native share sheet.
- No data is sent to us — you choose where to share it.
Permissions
ScoreBook may request the following permissions:
- Internet access — required by the underlying framework for core app functionality. The app makes no network requests to external servers.
No other permissions (camera, microphone, contacts, location, storage, phone, SMS) are requested or used.
Third-Party Services
ScoreBook does not use any third-party:
- Analytics SDKs (no Firebase, no Google Analytics, no Crashlytics)
- Advertising SDKs (no AdMob, no ad networks)
- Social login services
- Crash reporting services
- Data processors or data brokers
The app has no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no external links.
Data Retention
All data persists on your device until you delete it within the app or uninstall the app. We retain no data server-side because we collect none.
